Accessibility Statement

The Reserve is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who navigate with assistive technology, who rely on the keyboard, or who use screen magnification or screen-reader software.

The standard we target

This site is built and reviewed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA, the current international standard for digital accessibility. WCAG 2.2 covers color contrast, keyboard navigation, focus indicators, target sizes for touch interactions, and authentication that does not rely on memorizing complex information.

What that means in practice

  • Every page has a visible “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element.
  • Every interactive control (buttons, links, form fields) is reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • All meaningful images carry descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked as such so screen readers skip them.
  • Text color contrast meets at least 4.5:1 for body copy and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • The site remains usable at 200% browser zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Touch targets meet a 44×44 CSS-pixel minimum, well above the WCAG 2.2 24×24 floor, with adequate spacing between adjacent controls.
  • Page structure uses real semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) so screen readers can move between sections quickly.

We test using axe-core automated scans, manual keyboard-only navigation, and screen-reader walkthroughs with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.

One area still in progress

Our cannabis menu, cart, and checkout flow live at reservesd.com/stores/the-reserve and are operated by our retail platform partner, Dutchie. Those pages are served from Dutchie’s infrastructure under our domain, which means we cannot directly modify their accessibility properties from our side.

We engage Dutchie directly to surface, prioritize, and track fixes to that section. If you encounter a barrier in the menu or checkout flow, please report it using the contact below. We will escalate it on your behalf and follow up.

Report an accessibility issue

If any part of reservesd.com is difficult to use, please tell us. Every report is read by a human and acknowledged personally.

When you write, please include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology you were using if any, and a description of what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days.

Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is not a checkpoint. We review this site against WCAG 2.2 AA as part of every meaningful change to design, content, or third-party integrations. Where we cannot directly remediate (the Dutchie subtree), we maintain a written record of vendor engagement and follow-up.
